Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group and U.S. Bank have teamed up to launch the Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card, which allows cardholders to earn a free night stay at over 1,000 participating Carlson Rezidor hotels worldwide.

"The launch of this card is a significant step forward in the expansion of our Club Carlson loyalty program which has seen outstanding growth as one of the most rewarding loyalty programs in the industry," said Thorsten Kirschke, president, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Americas, in a press release.

With a Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card, cardholders earn ten points per dollar spent at Carlson Rezidor hotels and five points per dollar spent on the card everywhere else. Additionally, cardholders receive bonus award nights when they redeem points for two or more consecutive award nights in a hotel. The last night of the stay will be free. New cardholders will receive 50,000 points after making their first purchase and an extra 35,000 points after spending $2,500 on the card within the first 90 days. After using the card, members automatically receive Gold Elite Status in the hotel loyalty program. If the holder is already a Gold Elite member, they'll get 15 qualifying nights toward Concierge Elite Status. Cardholders also get 40,000 bonus points every year they renew the card.

The card also comes with Visa Signature's special services, which include a round-the-clock concierge service, preferred seating at theatre and music events, movie ticket offers, access to complimentary wine tastings and culinary events, and insider access to sports events. It also has many common travel benefits, including a lost luggage reimbursement, travel and emergency assistance services and some insurance coverage on rental cars. The card has a $75 annual fee, and its variable APR is 13.99% to 22.99%.

"The Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card was created specifically to reflect the innovative spirit of Carlson Rezidor hotels," said John Owens, senior vice president for U.S. Bank Retail Payment Solutions, in a press release.

If a person's creditworthiness doesn't qualify for the Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card, their application will be considered for a Platinum Rewards Visa Card, which has an annual fee of $50 and an APR of 15.99% to 24.99%. The platinum card awards holders with six points per dollar spent on purchases at Carlson Rezidor hotels and three points per dollar spent on other purchase. These cardholders also get 50,000 points after their first purchase and a bonus of 10,000 points if they spend $1,500 on the card within the first 90 days of having it. They also get 25,000 points for their annual renewal and get the same bonus award nights when redeeming points for two or more consecutive nights.

The Premier Rewards Visa Signature Card is one of three rewards credit cards in the partnership. U.S. Bank also offers the Club Carlson Rewards Visa Signature Card, which earns six points per dollar spent in eligible net purchases at Carlson Rezidor hotels and three points per dollar spent on all other purchases, all for a $50 annual fee. It also offers the Club Carlson Business Rewards Visa Card, designed for business owners. This card has many of the same benefits of the Premier Rewards Visa Signature and comes with a $60 annual fee.

Members can use their points to book hotel rooms at any of the group's properties in 81 countries. Its brands include Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM and Hotel Missoni. Award Nights run anywhere from 9,000 to 50,000 points and have no blackout dates. Members can also exchange their hotel points for airline miles at over 20 airlines.
